Are we famous yet?

The Falls Church News-Press seems to think so.

Is this true? Or is it not true?

I mean, I think it’s ok. I don’t care if you say MERRY CHRISTMAS to me.

But I might say HAPPY HANUKKAH back.

Happy Hanukkah! Jewish landmark will be turned into condos

Today, in least shocking news ever, the former Streit’s Matzo factory is going condo. It’s confirmed.

Despite recent DOB filings to truncate the height of 150 Rivington Street to a bi-level commercial space, the long game here is to eventually install luxury living. Midtown-based Cogswell Realty, which forked over $30.5 million for the four-parcel assemblage, recently filed plans with the Attorney General’s office. The technical document submitted was reportedly a “CPS-1” application, allowing an applicant to “test the market” before officially filing a condo offering plan.

According to the public documents, 150 Rivington Street is to boast 45 residential condo apartments, a commercial condo on the ground floor, and 26 storage units.

The new development is presumably in partnership with architectural firm Gluck+ and will likely capitalize on the 14,000 square-feet of air rights sought from the nearby Suffolk Homes.

Meanwhile, Streit’s is presently amidst relocation to Rockland County, its first move in some ninety years.

Once again (and maybe forever) it’s Xmas Eve in D.C.
