We’re going on tour: NYC, Boston, Philly, D.C.

We all know that surrogate families are way better than actual families. In a few weeks, Good For The Jews will honor the start of Hanukkah (the Jewish Kwanzaa) by going on tour. We’ll have lots of special guests, including Todd Barry, Lisa Loeb, Tammy Faye Starlite, and Julian Fleisher. More details soon. But come spend the holidays with us. We’re not the ones who buy you socks every year and then fall asleep watching CSI.

The Choliday No One Can Spell

You know the expression, “Two Jews, three opinions”? Well, how about “One Choliday, seven spellings”?

The Choliday is Chanukah. Or Hanukkah. Or Chanukkah. Or Hanukah. Or, with a tip of the hat to Ice Cube, HanuKKKah.

Can someone explain the, uh, genesis of all these different spellings? It’s our most famous holiday. Can’t we at least agree on how to spell the damn thing? You’d never find Presbyterians acting this disorganized.
