XMAS EVE IN D.C. (or thereabouts)

Once again this year, the good folks at Jammin Java have invited us to perform at their club on Christmas Eve (a/k/a the Worst Night of the Year To Be a Jew). This is now a tradition! What is this, our fifth year in a row there? Our fiftieth? Probably somewhere in between.

If you live in D.C. or the Northern Virginia area, please come celebrate with us on December 24th. We promise, it beats staying home and watching “It’s A Wonderful Life” yet again.

Jammin Java

December 24, 2012 at 7 pm / $20 tickets

Rob and David will sing all their hits songs, including “They Tried To Kill Us, We Survived, Let’s Eat,” “It’s Good To Be A Jew At Christmas,” “Goin’ Down To Boca,” “Reuben the Hook-Nosed Reindeer,” and MORE!

It exists!

Those of you who (are lucky enough to) have heard our song “Reuben The Hook-Nosed Reindeer” know there’s a line about Reuben cooking “blintzes for Blitzen.”

Recently, a friend told us about the book “Blintzes For Blitzen,” which is described as the story of “a reindeer who likes Jewish food, and celebrates Hanukkah with Bernie, a Jewish deli owner.” We’ve never met a deli owner named Bernie, but that’s no reason not to trade in ethnic stereotypes.

The book was published in 2010, so obviously, we were here first.

Pretty sure these authors stole our idea!

Happy Passover (and welcome to Huffington Post readers)

Happy Passover to all our Jewish and non-Jewish friends!

And for those of you who came to our site because you saw the Huffington Post article, please drop us an email to say hi [click on the SAY ‘HI’ TO THE BAND button] or sign up for our mailing list — we’ll let you know when we release more free MP3s, and when we go on tour.

And don’t go overboard on the Manischewitz! Four cups will leave you with a nasty hangover.

Back in action!

You’re right, we’ve been lazy lately. But on Monday, September 12, we’re headlining The Tom Ragu Comedy Revue at the Stonewall Inn, 53 Christopher Street, NYC. Show starts at 7 pm and best of all — listen up, Jews — it’s FREE.

It’s the “What The Hell Are We Doing In Utah???” tour

We’ve posted new tour dates!

Look, we usually like to stick to the major urban areas: Boston, New York, Seattle. You know, places where the Jews live.

But somehow, our friends in Nice Jewish Girls Gone Bad persuaded us to go on tour with them throughout Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah. In the middle of winter. One night we’re playing in an opera house; another, we’re in a pizza parlor. Are there bagels in Boulder? Will they find our Mormon jokes funny in Utah?

For crying out loud, help us! If you have friends who live in these godforsaken areas, please forward this email to them.
